Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor's discretion and are normally for patients on long term treatments. Requests for prescriptions can only be made in writing, to avoid prescribing errors, by one of the following methods:
- In person/post - tick the items required on your repeat slip and drop it in to the surgery or post it to us. If you want us to post it back to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
- By fax - to 01483 730354
- Online - register to use the on-line access facility
- Advising your nominated pharmacy of the items you require

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, clinical pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. Also please note that prescriptions not collected within 4 weeks will be cancelled and destroyed.
Prescriptions recommended by a hospital specialist may need to be discussed directly with the specialist or CCG prescribing team before being issued. We appreciate your patience if this results in an additional delay before a prescription is issued.
ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING SERVICE is active and the majority of prescriptions issued are now sent electronically through to your nominated pharmacy via 'NHS spine'. Medications can then be collected directly from the pharmacy of your choice without need for a paper prescription.
Please inform us of your nominated pharmacy as soon as possible by emailing email@example.com, informing reception or advising the pharmacy directly.
Local pharmacies offer a collection and delivery service as well as weekly 'dosette boxes'. Please contact your local pharmacy if this is something that you would like to arrange.
