Child Development
Clinics
These are run at both surgeries,
at Sunny Meed on Wednesday afternoon and Goldsworth Park on Tuesday morning. They
are joint clinics run by the health visitor and the doctor and give you the opportunity
to discuss any problems concerning your child.
Asthma Clinic
These are run by Sister Seymour
Monday
12.30 - 2.30pm
Diabetic Clinic
This clinic is run on Monday and
Wednesday mornings. The diabetic nurse specialist, Mrs Dulcie Lawrence,
is also in attendance.
Family Planning
All the doctors provide family planning
during normal surgery times but we also offer a nurse-run family planning clinic
on a Tuesday afternoon from 2.30 - 5.30pm. This is run by Sister Sales.
Coils
are fitted by special arrangement with Sister Sales.
Well Woman Clinics
Sister Sales also offers advice
on a Tuesday evening as part of her family planning clinic.
Coronary Heart Disease
Clinic
Sister Sales runs
this clinic on a Wednesday morning 8.30am - 12 noon.
General Treatment
Room Procedures
General nurse procedures are available
daily by appointment.
New Patient Health
Checks
To help us provide you with the best
service we would ask that you book a new patient health check once you have been
registered with the practice, preferably within the first two weeks.
Patients Over 75
Years of Age
A yearly health check-up for the
over 75’s can be arranged by appointment with any of the practice nurses.
Minor Surgery
Dr Rankin carries out minor
surgery procedures at both surgeries by appointment.
Travel Immunisations
And Vaccinations
Please make an appointment at least
eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will
be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the
NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
Yellow Fever Vaccinations
The surgery is now an authorized
yellow fever centre.
Flu Vaccination
Influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations
are particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease,
diabetes and residents of nursing homes and rest homes. Please contact the reception
staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment.
If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit can be arranged for you.
Non-NHS
Examinations
The doctors are happy to carry out
medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment.
Please remember that this service
is not part of general medical services under the NHS and you will be charged
for this service. A list of all charges is displayed by the reception desk.
